1st prize
Off to Munich! We are delighted about the success and the appreciation of the top-class jury in Munich.
St.-Martins-Platz in Munich Moosach is being transformed into a multifunctional, inviting public space that combines history, sustainability and community. The open space concept preserves and expands valuable green areas, their connections through the neighborhood and creates space for a variety of recreational qualities.
The new Kultursaal sets an accent in the historical ensemble and prudently adds to it. Its open façade allows the interior space to be extended towards St-Martins-Platz. The Azubiwohnen follows a compact, sustainable design that creates high-quality living spaces for affordable housing. Both buildings focus on circular construction, material reuse and energy-efficient solutions.
